KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal held a courtesy meeting with the British Ambassador to Nepal, Rob Fenn. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar, where the two discussed bilateral relations and various matters of mutual interest between Nepal and the United Kingdom.
According to the ministry, the discussions covered climate change, climate finance, and resilient economic development. Both sides also deliberated on potential cooperation and collaboration regarding the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP-31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The meeting emphasized strengthening collaboration in areas of mutual interest. Additionally, the ministry stated that the issue concerning the pensions of Gurkha veterans was also discussed during the meeting.
