KATHMANDU: The Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal and newly appointed European Union Ambassador to Nepal Charles Whiteley discussed ways to strengthen Nepal-EU relations and expand cooperation during a courtesy meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Khanal congratulated Whiteley on his appointment and wished him a successful tenure in Nepal.
The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation in the days ahead.
The meeting comes as Nepal and the European Union continue to engage on areas of shared interest. However, the statement did not specify particular sectors or initiatives discussed during the talks.
