KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal has stated that intellectual debate and movement in the education sector are essential for the transformation of the country.
Inaugurating the first campus assembly of Gramin Adarsha Multiple Campus here today, he said the academic sector plays a crucial role in leading society and the nation in the right direction.
Expressing the view that an intellectual debate is necessary regarding what the future of Nepal’s education should look like, Minister Khanal stated that movements centered solely around salaries and allowances cannot transform the country. “An intellectual movement is necessary for the country’s transformation,” he said.
Former Minister Rajendra Shrestha emphasized that the government must prioritize creating an environment that encourages youth to remain in the country.
