KATHMANDU: Former prime minister and Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to visit flood-affected areas in Nuwakot today.
According to his secretariat, Deuba will be carrying relief materials and conducting an on-site inspection of the region.
The secretariat stated that Deuba and other senior leaders of the Nepali Congress are set to depart from Kathmandu at 9 a.m. today via land route to reach Nuwakot.
Previously, Nepali Congress general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa had also visited flood-affected areas to assess the situation. Thapa traveled to the flood-hit Rasuwa region last Friday accompanied by a team of experts.
