Four dead, 116 injured in traffic accidents across Nepal in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Four people lost their lives and 116 others sustained injuries in various road accidents reported across Nepal within a single 24-hour period, according to official casualty data released by Nepal Police.

Madhesh Province recorded the highest fatality toll with two deaths alongside 20 injuries, while Kathmandu Valley and Karnali Province each reported one death, with 29 and four injuries respectively.

Meanwhile, non-fatal accidents were recorded across the rest of the country, resulting in 24 injuries in Lumbini Province, 20 in Koshi Province, nine in Sudurpashchim Province, eight in Bagmati Province (excluding Kathmandu Valley), and two in Gandaki Province.
