TANAHUN: Four suspension bridges impacted by the reservoir of the Tanahun hydropower project will be rebuilt.

The project, which boasts a capacity of 140 MW, has led to a contract signing between Tanahun Hydropower Limited and Thani Kali Joshi Joint Venture for the reconstruction work, totaling Rs 169 million, excluding tax.

Project head Shyamji Bhandari mentioned that they will consult with local residents to find the best spots for the new bridges. The bridges in question are situated in Chulesi, Tunibote, Dablang, and Tutuwa.

This initiative aims to ensure that local communities won’t face transportation issues due to the reservoir’s construction.

The project is committed to restoring these bridges to keep access open for residents, with an expected completion date set for the year 2028.
