DHADING: The alternative road which was brought into operation after sweeping away of Furkekhola Bridge in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2 along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading will remain closed for five hours today.
According to the District Administration Office, all types of vehicles will be restricted from moving on the Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Mastar road section from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm today for maintenance work.
Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandeya informed that vehicular movement has been halted during the hours for maintenance at various points on the alternative road.
The flash flood in Bhotekoshi River on August 26 had washed away the concrete bridge at Furkekhola on the Prithvi Highway.
Since the bridge was washed away, the Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Mastar road section has been used as an alternate route.
The District Administration Office has urged passengers and vehicles to use the Dhading-Besi-Sunaulabazar-Bhorle-Kosikhola-Phosretar-Kalleritar road section or other alternative routes while the road remains closed.
