RASUWA: A generator has been brought to Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa, to provide citizens with access to mobile charging facilities.
Electricity supply has remained completely disrupted in the entire district, following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River on August 26.
The device was brought here by the Nepal Red Cross Society with support of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Flood survivors, locals, and pilgrims in the district were disconnected with their relatives and the outside world due to the prolonged power outage.
The NRCS and Tilaganga Institute of Ophthalmology jointly took the initiative to arrange an alternative power source for charging mobile phones and other communication devices .
With the charging facility now available, residents have been able to reconnect with their families.
Meanwhile, it is said a technical team is working to restore the electricity service disrupted by the flood in the district.
