KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices dropped sharply in the local market on Wednesday, with gold falling by Rs 8,800 per tola (11.66 grams) and silver declining by Rs 185 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, hallmark gold traded at Rs 2,97,300 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs 4,580 per tola.
On Tuesday, hallmark gold had traded at Rs 3,06,100 per tola and silver at Rs 4,765 per tola.
