KATHMANDU: The government has declared four individuals who died during protests in Sunsari and Siraha districts as martyrs.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday. Those granted martyr status are Om Prakash Mehta, Jay Prakash Mehta and Rabindra Kumar Mehta of Sunsari, along with Ganesh Kumar Yadav of Siraha.

The Cabinet also decided to make public the 2080 BS report on the study and investigation into the purchase and sale of Ncell shares prepared by a committee coordinated by former Auditor General Tankamani Sharma.

In another major decision, the government approved a full exemption from the Clean Infrastructure Investment Fee and Value Added Tax (VAT) for electric ambulances and hearse vehicles imported into or manufactured within Nepal.

The Council of Ministers further agreed to allow the Government of Portugal to open a Consular Office in Kathmandu and appointed Nirmal Kumar Upreti of Bara as the Executive Director of the Foreign Employment Board.
