KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Ajaya Babu Siwakoti has claimed that the government is attempting to arrest him.
On Thursday morning, through social media, he stated that the government has mobilized police to search for him.
Siwakoti mentioned that he will not be deterred by the government’s threats and confusion.
He wrote on social media: “Government, I will not be distracted by the fear and confusion you have created. There is no need to deploy police to look for me; I am coming to Kathmandu myself.” He has not disclosed further details regarding the matter.
This reaction from Joint General Secretary Siwakoti comes following public reports that the government is also attempting to arrest Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa.
