KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has invited public comments and recommendations on draft bills prepared to amend three important laws related to Nepal’s health sector.
According to a ministerial decision made on Wednesday, the ministry has published draft amendment bills for the Mother’s Milk Substitutes (Control of Sale and Distribution) Act, 1992, the Health Worker and Health Institution Security Act, 2009, and the Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights Act, 2018.
The ministry has called on interested individuals, healthcare professionals, health institutions, and other stakeholders to review the proposed amendments and submit their feedback.
Comments and suggestions must be sent in the prescribed format to the ministry’s Legal Section via email at [email protected] by July 28 (Shrawan 12).The ministry said stakeholder input would help strengthen the proposed legal reforms and ensure that the amended laws better address current healthcare needs and challenges.
