KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that Nepal is currently experiencing the joint influence of monsoonal and westerly winds, along with a low-pressure area developing in the Bay of Bengal.
As a result, generally cloudy conditions are prevailing across the country’s hilly and mountainous regions, with light to moderate rain and lightning active in several areas.
During the day and into tonight, moderate rainfall is forecasted across most provinces, while heavy rain is likely in isolated areas of the hilly regions in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, as well as parts of Madhesh province.
Authorities advise remaining cautious due to potential risks in vulnerable terrain.
