KATHMANDU: Active monsoon winds continue to sweep across Nepal, bringing widespread cloud cover and sustained precipitation nationwide, according to a weather advisory issued by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
With the low-pressure monsoon trough remaining close to its average position, meteorologists warn that persistent light to moderate rainfall will affect multiple regions, with high-altitude and hilly terrains bearing the brunt of the system.
Severe downpours are forecast for isolated areas within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces through both day and night, prompting weather officials to advise heightened vigilance in vulnerable communities across the country.
