KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated a risk of rain in the Bhotekoshi flash flood-ravaged areas.
Meteorologist Hari Prasad Dahal at the Department informed RSS that most places in the Bhoteloshi flood-affected area in Rasuwa are likely to receive moderate rainfall today.
“Heavy rain may occur in one or two places, which is likely to affect search and rescue operations. Therefore, precaution is necessary,” he said.
There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning as well as snowfall in many places in the country’s hilly and mountainous regions this afternoon, the Department stated.
There is also a chance of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in many places in the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in some parts of the Terai in Madhes and Koshi provinces.
The Department has indicated heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the hilly areas of Karnali, and the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim.
Tonight, many places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with some other hilly and mountainous areas, may experience moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning as well as snow.
