KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudan Gurung is set to engage directly with citizens as part of the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s (RSP) ongoing “Citizens, Policy and Leadership” programme.

According to the RSP, Gurung will attend the party’s central office on Monday to hear citizens’ grievances, concerns, suggestions and expectations directly.

The programme will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, members of the public will have an opportunity to present their concerns, problems, suggestions and expectations directly to the home minister.

In the second phase, the minister, lawmakers and the party’s central leadership will discuss contemporary and policy issues, incorporating the feedback received from citizens, the party said.

The programme will begin after 5 p.m. at the RSP central office.

The party said the initiative aims to directly connect citizens’ voices, suggestions and expectations with government and party policymaking and ensure more effective implementation.

The RSP has also urged concerned citizens to actively participate in and facilitate the programme.
