KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for 1 pm today has been postponed.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat said the meeting, which was scheduled to take place at Singha Durbar, was deferred due to special circumstances. The Secretariat has not yet announced a new date for the meeting.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam was scheduled to present the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 during the meeting.
She was also scheduled to seek the House’s consideration of the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.
In addition, Minister Gautam was scheduled to present the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
The three agenda items will now be presented at the next meeting of the House of Representatives.
