KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to convene today at 1:00 pm. The session is expected to feature oral question-and-answer proceedings involving the minister responsible for the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
During the session, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, representing Prime Minister Balendra Shah, is expected to table a proposal to send the Remuneration, Conditions of Service and Facilities of Officials of Constitutional Bodies (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS to the relevant parliamentary committee for clause-by-clause consideration.
Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal is also scheduled to present a proposal seeking to refer the Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS to the appropriate committee for detailed discussion.
Similarly, Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi will table a proposal to refer the Human Trafficking and Smuggling (Control) (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS to the concerned committee for clause-by-clause deliberation.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari is also expected to propose sending the Mines and Minerals Bill, 2083 BS to the relevant committee for detailed, clause-by-clause discussion.
Meanwhile, five parliamentary committees are also scheduled to meet today. The International Relations and Tourism Committee, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, Legislative Management Committee, and Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee are all set to hold their respective meetings.
