HoR, National Assembly scheduled to meet today

KATHMANDU: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to convene at 1 pm at Singha Durbar. According to the proposed agenda, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam will present the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Minister Gautam will also seek the House’s approval to consider the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083, the Parliament Secretariat said.

She is also scheduled to present the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Similarly, Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment Ramji Yadav will present a proposal seeking to send the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083, to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 10:15 am. Prime Minister Balendra Shah will present a proposal to refer a bill received from the House of Representatives, along with a message, to the Legislative Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.
