KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives has begun, with four ministers scheduled to respond to oral questions concerning their respective ministries.
According to the proposed agenda, ministers for Foreign Affairs; Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; and Agriculture, Forests and Environment are expected to answer questions raised by lawmakers.
During the meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, will present the Seventh Annual Report of the Tharu Commission for fiscal year 2081/82.
Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is scheduled to present a proposal seeking consideration of the Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2083. Minister Gautam will similarly present a proposal to consider the Mediation-related (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.
According to Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey, Minister Gautam is also scheduled to present the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction, under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
