KATHMANDU: Nepal’s House of Representatives is scheduled to convene at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, ending a 15-day suspension after the government failed to provide parliamentary business.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is set to table a proposal to send the Bill to Amend and Repeal Certain Nepal Laws Relating to Finance, 2083 (2026/27) to the relevant parliamentary committee for clause-by-clause deliberation.
Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal will also present a condolence motion on the passing of former House member and Constituent Assembly member Gopal Man Shrestha.
Separately, the Legislation Management Committee is also meeting at 11:00 a.m. The committee will hold an orientation session on “Legislative Interrelationship in Federalism: Practice, Needs and Challenges in Nepal.”
