KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled at 1:00pm today.
The meeting, to be held at Singha Durbar, will see Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, propose that the ‘Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2026’ be sent to the relevant committee for clause-wise deliberation.
The Minister will also table proposals to send the ‘Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’ and ‘the Free Legal Aid Bill, 2026’ to the concerned committees for clause-wise discussion.
Similarly, Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Geeta Chaudhary, is scheduled to propose that the ‘Infectious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill, 2026’ be sent to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion.
The Bill was originated in the National Assembly.
Likewise, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahabir Pun, will table a proposal seeking passage of the ‘National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2026.’
Meanwhile, meetings of the Finance Committee, Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, and Legislative Management Committee are also scheduled for today, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat. #nepal #rss
