KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet on Friday, with lawmakers set to deliberate on a series of legislative proposals, including bills related to constitutional office holders, mining, human trafficking and passports.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Federal Parliament Building in Singha Durbar.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Hari Dhakal, chair of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, will table the committee’s report on the bill seeking to revive the previous provisions of the Nepal Special Service Act, 1985.

On behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam will present the Constitutional Office Holders’ Remuneration, Terms of Service and Facilities (First Amendment) Bill, 2026.

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari is scheduled to introduce the Mines and Minerals Bill, 2026, while Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities, and Social Security Sita Badi will table the Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) First Amendment Bill, 2026.

Likewise, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal is expected to present the Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2026.
