BIRGUNJ: The police have confiscated various sorts of goods which were imported by evading customs.
The goods worth Rs one million were seized by the security persons. The illegal items included mobile phone sets, cosmetics and fruits.
The District Police Office, Parsa informed that the goods imported by evading customs were retrieved from Gandakchowk of Birgunj Metropolis-14.
Similarly, the authority confiscated similar items from Rajatjayanti Chowk of Birgunj Metropolis-16. The illegal import worth Rs 400 thousands.
Deputy Superintendent of Police in Parsa, Chakra Bahadur Malla, informed that the illegal goods were handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office.
