KATHMANDU: The sixth and seventh relief flights from India carrying 21.5 tonnes of emergency supplies arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday night.
The consignments, which include forensic kits and medical equipment, were delivered via two C-130J aircraft and handed over to Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun to support ongoing rescue efforts following the Bhote Koshi floods.
Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on X that the aid is part of a continuous relief pipeline.
This latest delivery follows five earlier consignments sent since August 26, which brought rescue teams, forensic experts for DNA analysis, generators, tents, medicines, and food items.
The assistance arrives as the death toll from the Rasuwa floods reached 1,259 as of Thursday evening, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).
