KATHMANDU: A consignment of 10 tonnes of relief supplies from the Indian government for victims of the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa has arrived in Nepal.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over the relief materials to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadka Raj Poudel ‘Ganesh’ at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Earlier, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar announced via social media that India had dispatched humanitarian aid, disaster relief supplies and essential medicines to support people affected by the floods in Rasuwa.
Offering condolences to the families who lost loved ones and to others affected by the disaster, Jaishankar said India stands in solidarity with Nepal and the Nepali people during the difficult period.
