KATHMANDU: Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav has submitted her resignation to Prime Minister Balen Shah on Thursday.
Her resignation follows intense backlash over a controversial statement she made during a parliamentary committee meeting on Wednesday, where she threatened to tie the gas businessmen’s hands behind their backs.
Outraged by her remarks, representatives from the business sector lodged a formal complaint against her with the Prime Minister, leading to her departure from office.
