KATHMANDU: Janakpur Bolts won the toss and elected to field against Karnali Yaks in the second match of the day in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.
Janakpur captain Harmit Singh chose to bowl first in the third match of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the NPL’s official broadcaster, Himalaya Television Network, will air matches with commentary in Nepali, English and Maithili to make the tournament accessible to a wider audience.
Nepali commentary will be available on Himalaya TV, while English commentary will air on Himalaya Sports. Maithili commentary, being introduced for the first time in the tournament, will be available on Himalaya Sports 2 only on match days featuring Janakpur Bolts.
The network said the multilingual broadcasts are expected to bring cricket fans from different linguistic communities closer to the tournament.
