KATHMANDU: Journalist Kishor Shrestha was arrested on Wednesday night near his residence in Lalitpur.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Khadka of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Shrestha was arrested on charges related to the violation of an individual’s privacy.
Shrestha was arrested by a joint team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and the Kathmandu District Police Range.
Shrestha is the publisher and editor of Jana Aastha Weekly and Jana Aastha Online. He is also a former acting chairperson of the Press Council Nepal.
