MYAGDI: The swollen Kaligandaki River has swept away a motorable bridge in the Beni-Jomsom-Korala section.
The bridge connects Naulibagar of Bhurung-Tatopani to Pokharebagar of Annapurna Rural Municipality-6.
Chairman of Annapurna Rural Municipality, Bharat Kumar Pun, informed RSS that after the river washed away the bridge, transportation to Mustang has been cut off.
A house was buried at Phagam and another one at Giwang village in the district. Search for two persons missing in the landslide is underway.
The Kaligandi River swollen after the incessant rainfall has eroded Khambhitta area under the Beni-Jomsom roadway.
Even the Nilgiri Basic School of Annapurna Municipality-4 has been damaged by the rain-induced disaster.
