KATHMANDU: Kamana Sewa Development Bank has linked its mobile banking-based digital payments to the Inland Revenue Department’s ‘Taxpayer Incentive Gift Program’, allowing customers to participate in the government’s reward scheme automatically.
According to the bank, eligible payments made through its mobile banking app at merchant QR terminals will be automatically entered into the lucky draw. Customers will not need to separately register their transactions or upload payment details.
Customers can also view the number and details of their eligible transactions through the bank’s mobile banking app.
Under the program, one winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 100,000 after tax deductions through a daily lucky draw. A bumper prize of Rs 1 million will also be awarded to one winner every 15 days.
The bank has encouraged customers to make digital payments for purchases above Rs 100, obtain and securely retain electronic bills (e-bills), and regularly check their eligible transactions through the mobile app.
The bank said the initiative is aimed at promoting digital payments while supporting a more transparent and technology-driven tax system and encouraging customers to shift toward digital transactions.
