DHANGADHI: The CPN (UML)-Nepali Communist Party alliance is preparing to stake a claim today to form the Sudurpashchim Province government, with Nepali Communist Party parliamentary leader Khaga Raj Bhatta set to become chief minister.
Province Head Nazir Miya had called for claims to form a new government by 11 AM after Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah resigned on Wednesday evening.
Preparations are underway to administer Bhatta’s oath at 3 PM today. He will become the fifth chief minister of Sudurpashchim in the province’s second term.
