KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Chief Administrative Officer Muktiram Aryal has signed performance agreements with the heads of various departments, projects, and secretariat units at the Kathmandu Plaza assembly hall to ensure a firm commitment to implementing plans for the fiscal year 2083/84.
Aimed at making local government operations more responsible, transparent, and results-oriented, the agreements obligate officials to effectively, participatorily, and cost-efficiently execute the annual policies, budget, and programs approved by the 19th Municipal Assembly held last Ashar.
The initiative focuses on implementing detailed action plans featuring core responsibilities, auxiliary duties, timeframes, and monitoring indicators to foster smoother public service delivery, noticeable administrative reforms, stronger internal coordination, and a competitive environment for performance execution, with officials required to achieve a minimum progress rate of 80% toward their set targets.
