KANCHANPUR: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal announced the establishment of a commission to tackle the challenges faced by displaced individuals from the Shuklaphanta National Park.
Addressing a gathering of those affected, she assured that the commission would be formed within a week to address their concerns. Minister Rawal stressed the necessity of patience and collaboration from the displaced community, urging them to halt ongoing protests and support the commission’s initiatives.
Moreover, Minister Rawal interacted with landless residents across various municipalities, advising them to remain composed as the government prepares to issue land ownership documents, (Lal Purja).
She pointed out that legal reforms have been enacted to streamline this process and that the District Land Commission would hasten the distribution of these documents. Additionally, she recognized the need for more extensive legal amendments to tackle the issues faced by landless residents throughout the country.
During her visit, she also assessed the construction of Majhgaun Airport and a dry port in Dodhara Chandani Municipality, underscoring the government’s dedication to infrastructure development in the area.
