KATHMANDU: Local authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant after a landslide blocked the Kimrung River in Parbat. The District Administration Office, Parbat, issued a notice at 8:40 pm advising people to exercise caution due to the river blockage.
Residents have been requested to move to safer locations, as the blockage of the Kimrung River poses a risk of flooding in Nayapul, Birethanti and surrounding settlements. The Kimrung River is a tributary of the Modi River. Officials stated that the blockage could impact lower areas extending to the Kaligandaki confluence.
The Parbat administration has also issued a warning to the public, advising against any travel along the Modi River corridor.
