GULMI: The Rudrabeni–Purtighat road section along the Kaligandaki Corridor has been completely obstructed following a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall.
According to the District Police Office, the road came to a complete halt after a landslide struck Rakse in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality–2 on Friday morning.
Vehicular movement has also been disrupted due to a significant rise in the water level of the Pati River flowing through Ward No. 4 of the same rural municipality.
With the road blocked, passengers and vehicles heading toward Baglung, Palpa, Butwal, and Pokhara from the region have been left stranded en route.
Police stated that clearance work is currently underway to remove the debris and reopen the highway for traffic.
