KATHMANDU: Staff members of Manakamana Cable Car have donated funds to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts for victims affected by floods in the Bhote Koshi region. Employees contributed an amount equivalent to two days of their salaries for the cause.
The company stated that a total of Rs 311,222 collected by the staff has been deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The funds were transferred to the designated account at the New Baneshwor branch of Everest Bank Limited.
The contribution was made with the aim of assisting those affected by the natural disaster. Manakamana Cable Car emphasized that humanitarian support and cooperation from all sectors are essential during times of crisis.
The company expressed confidence that the contribution from its employees would provide meaningful support to the flood relief and rehabilitation operations.
