KAKARBHITTA: The Mechi customs office has achieved nearly 95 percent of its revenue collection target for the first three months of the current fiscal year 2083-84. The office collected Rs 4.67 billion in revenue between mid-July and mid-October.
According to information officer Mangal Rai, the office had set a target of Rs 4.92 billion for the three-month period. The actual collection represents 94.93 percent of the set goal.
Monthly data shows that in the first month, the office collected Rs 1.27 billion against a target of Rs 1.43 billion. In the second month, the office recorded a collection of Rs 1.55 billion against a target of Rs 1.64 billion.
Revenue performance improved in the third month, with the office collecting Rs 1.83 billion against a target of Rs 1.84 billion. This figure accounts for 99.59 percent of the monthly target. In the corresponding three-month period of the previous fiscal year, the office had collected Rs 4.15 billion in revenue.
