GANDAKI: India’s Army Chief Dhiraj Seth has said that the military relationship between India and Nepal is historic and glorious.
At the gathering of former soldiers held today at the pension distribution office of the Indian Embassy in Pokhara, he said the military relations between the two countries was incomparable and openly appreciated the bravery and contribution of Gorkhali soldiers.
“Because of their bravery, loyalty, and sacrifice, Gorkhali soldiers have a unique identity in the world,” said the army chief Seth, noting that the valor shown by Gorkhali soldiers in the Indian army is unforgettable.
Chief of the Indian Army Staff Seth said that since India–Nepal relations are linked with tradition, culture, religion, and faith, the relationship is strong not only at the government level but also among the citizens of the two countries.
Army Chief Seth also inaugurated through ‘virtual’ medium the polyclinic established in Kohalpur, Banke for former soldiers and their families.
On that occasion, in addition to honoring the family members of the former soldiers who attained martyrdom, disability-friendly scooters were also provided to the injured former soldiers.
