KATHMANDU: Monsoonal winds continue to affect weather patterns across Nepal, with the low-pressure trough stationed near normal positions in the east and slightly north of its average position in the west.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, general cloudiness is expected across major hilly and mountainous regions today, with lighter cover in the southern plains.
While light to moderate thundershowers are forecast for multiple parts of the country, heavy rainfall is likely in isolated areas of Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Skies will remain mostly cloudy through the night, with continued light to moderate precipitation across the hills and mountains.
