BIRATNAGAR: A total of Rs 9.86 million has been collected from various industrialists, businesspersons, social organizations, and individual donors in Morang district to support the relief and rehabilitation of victims affected by the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa.

According to details released by the District Administration Office Morang, a total of Rs 9,864,735 has been collected so far from 16 contributing organizations and individuals for the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.

The largest contribution came from the Morang Industry Trade Association, which provided Rs 3.1 million. Neuro Hospital Biratnagar contributed Rs 2,100,111, while Shikshadeep Kala Biratnagar donated Rs 1,251,000 to the relief fund.

Additionally, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Koshi Province contributed Rs 1.1 million, and Arihant Group Biratnagar-9 provided Rs 1,011,000. Aakriti Advertising supported the cause with Rs 555,000, while Virat Vyapar Sangh donated Rs 131,000 and the Nepal Chemists and Druggists Association contributed Rs 131,111.

Other contributing entities include the Morang District Bar Association with Rs 101,111, Swastik Flour Mills with Rs 101,000, and Fujima Oil Company with Rs 100,000. Furthermore, Prabin Plastic Packaging, the Gita Mandir Executive Committee, and Paropakar Abhiyan Samuha contributed Rs 51,000 each. The Photographer Association donated Rs 25,251, while individual donor Sitaram Upadhyaya Kaphle contributed Rs 5,151.

Issuing a public notice, the District Administration Office Morang expressed its gratitude and appreciation to all donors who voluntarily contributed to the relief fund during this difficult period of disaster. The administration office expressed confidence that the funds collected in the relief account will provide significant support in the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of those affected by the disaster.
