SAPTARI: A motorcyclist lost his life and another passenger was injured after their motorcycle went out of control and met with an accident near the Koshi Barrage along the East-West Highway in Saptari.
The incident occurred on Monday evening near sluice gate number 41 of the Koshi Barrage bridge, located in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1, when the motorcycle bearing the license plate Ko 6 Pa 6028 lost control.
According to police, 35-year-old Om Safi of Bhalwa, Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1, who was driving the motorcycle, sustained critical injuries in the crash and passed away while undergoing treatment at Bhardaha Hospital.
The passenger, 20-year-old Manjay Safi also from Bhalwa, was injured in the accident and is currently receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
