CHITWAN: The local administration has announced partial closures on the Narayangadh-Muglin road starting Monday morning. The restrictions are being implemented to facilitate landslide prevention and soil excavation work at Tuin Khola.
In a notice issued today, Chitwan Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal stated that the administration intends to utilize the ongoing road repair period at Krishnabhir to conduct soil cutting operations at the Tuin Khola project site. This work will continue until the repairs at Krishnabhir are completed and traffic flow is fully restored.
The administration noted that the measure aims to clear unstable soil from the upper sections of the slope at Tuin Khola, which is prone to frequent landslides. By proactively removing high-risk debris, officials hope to manage future landslide threats.
According to the notice, the road will be opened for traffic at specific intervals throughout the day. Vehicles will be permitted to pass between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., 3:50 p.m. and 4 p.m., and after 6 p.m. Outside of these designated windows, traffic will be halted to allow construction work to proceed.
