KATHMANDU: A national flag has been hoisted again along the Nepal-China border at Timure of Rasuwa. The area was ravaged by the devastating Bhotekoshi floods on August 26.
A joint team comprising the Armed Police Force (APF), the Nepali Army and the Nepal Police jointly reinstated the flag on the international border point at Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2. The floods massively washed away structures towards Nepali territory.
A team coordinated by the APF’s Border Out Post (BOP) Timure travelled through a 3-kilometer risky cliff and hoisted again the flag, said APF joint spokesperson Shailendra Thapa.
