Ncell restores 24 of 27 mobile sites hit by disaster

KATHMANDU: Ncell has restored 24 of the 27 mobile sites that went down following the disaster in Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Dhading, bringing 75 of its 78 sites in the three districts back into operation as of August 30.

Three sites remain out of service. Infrastructure damage is suspected at two sites—one in Nuwakot and another in Timure, Rasuwagadhi, Rasuwa—while one site in Rasuwa remains pending as it requires an airlift to reach the location.

Ncell has restored all 16 affected sites in Nuwakot, including those in Hun, Kalikasthan, Chowrtol, Chuli, Battar, Bidur, Due Piple, Taruk, Made Danda, Khadkabhanjyang, Mahamandal, Gujetar, Deurali, Battar Bazaar and Pipaltar, among others.

In Dhading, towers in Khalte, Sunaula Bazaar and Bhoomi Danda in Galchi have also been brought back into operation.

In Rasuwa, five towers in Kalikasthan, Dhunche, Khalchet Bhanjyang, Goljung and Gatlang have been restored, helping re-establish critical communications for affected communities, rescue teams and relief operations.
