KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is set to launch a two-month national awareness campaign starting today.
The inauguration of the campaign is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the party’s central office in Parisdanda.
According to the party, the inaugural event will be addressed by NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Party leaders stated that the campaign is intended to pressure the government and further strengthen the party organization.
The NCP, which has expressed dissatisfaction with the working style of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah, had previously announced plans to initiate protest programs immediately after Dashain. Further details regarding the campaign are expected to be made public during the inauguration ceremony.
