KATHMANDU: The 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is gearing up for its Central Working Committee election, with nomination papers set to be registered on Monday.
According to a press release from the Congress Central Election Committee, candidates can submit their nomination papers at the City Hall in Kathmandu between 2:00 and 6:00 PM.
Raju Kaduwal, the member-secretary of the election committee, stated that during this window, all central convention representatives and eligible candidates can officially register their nominations.
The Election Committee also mentioned that more detailed information regarding the election programme for the Central Working Committee will be shared later on.
With the nomination registration date confirmed, the process for candidates vying for the president, office bearers, and central members in the party’s 15th Congress is officially underway.
Many aspirants are already stepping forward to announce their candidacies, and the Election Committee has reminded convention delegates to ensure their nomination papers are submitted on time.
