Nepal Airlines waives cargo fees for flood relief materials

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation has announced a one-month waiver on cargo fees for relief materials destined for citizens affected by floods and natural disasters.

The corporation stated that the decision was made as part of its corporate social responsibility to assist those impacted by recent calamities.

According to the corporation, all fees associated with the transport of relief goods from international stations to Nepal will be waived for one month.

This initiative is expected to facilitate the transport of aid sent by Nepalis abroad, various organizations, and supporting agencies.

The waiver applies to essential supplies such as food, medicine, clothing, and other emergency items, provided they are sent through official coordination with the respective Nepali embassies and supported by official documentation.

The corporation believes that this decision will contribute significantly to making humanitarian aid more accessible, effective, and rapid during the disaster period. By reducing logistical barriers, the corporation aims to ensure that relief materials sent from different countries and organizations reach the affected communities as quickly as possible.
