KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu hosted a delegation from the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), led by its President Birendra Raj Pandey, last Thursday to discuss opportunities for greater bilateral business and investment cooperation.
The discussions focused on expanding collaboration in tourism, trade, investment and the export of hydropower from Nepal to Bangladesh, while also addressing existing challenges to increasing bilateral trade.
Pandey briefed embassy officials on recent economic initiatives undertaken by the Nepali government and Nepal’s upcoming Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2026, scheduled for November.
He also handed an invitation to the Bangladeshi ambassador for Bangladeshi government representatives, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to participate in the summit.
The summit will be jointly organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and the Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors in November.
