KATHMANDU: Nepal will face hosts Pakistan in a must-win match in the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship on Friday, with their semifinal hopes hanging in the balance. The match will be played at the Garrison Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad and is scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m. Nepal time.

Nepal enter the contest under pressure after suffering defeats in their opening two matches. They lost 3-2 to Kazakhstan in their first game before going down by the same scoreline against Sri Lanka.

With two points, Nepal are currently sixth in the standings and need a victory to keep their chances of reaching the semifinals alive.

Pakistan, meanwhile, have enjoyed a perfect start to the tournament, winning both of their previous matches. The hosts sit at the top of the table with six points and will look to extend their unbeaten run against Nepal.
